Again, thanks for the welcomes, it's great to discover a forum like this and come over and be made to feel a part of it from the start, you guys are a credit to your club :-)

Watch out....with those bolts...especially the head ones...because...they don't fit at all in the SR20DE in the worst of cases your engine will die by those bolts...i'll post the info aboout that just let me check....Nice specs and beautiful Primera man!....

What do you mean by don't fit? The bolts are all in and car runs fine.

Do you mean after time they can't do the job?

Yes....the bolts fit in perfectly...but afte a while...the Design of the bolt will make them to lose and then...your head and your entire engine will be in a trouble let me post you the info...

Ok...the reason why ARP....are evil to the SR20 is this...i tooked from sr20-forum....you're member there...so you can look out for the thread....

"WHAT I BELEIVE THE PROBLEM IS WITH ARP HEAD BOLTS IS THE AMOUNT OF THREAD USED THE SECURE IT INTO THE BLOCK. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH THREAD TO ALLOW IT TO "BOTTOM OUT" IN THE THREADED HEAD BOLT HOLE IN THE BLOCK. THE LACK OF THREAD ON THE BOLT MAKES THE BOLT FEEL THAT IT HAS BOTTOMED OUT, BUT ACTUALLY HAS STOPPED ABOUT A QUARTER INCH SHY, BECUASE OF THE POOR DESIGN. THE BOLT IS A FREE RUNNING BOLT UNTIL IT IS PULLED BY TIGHTENING THE HEAD BOLT NUT. WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE NUT IT PULLS THE BOLT AGAINST THE THREADS IN THE BLOCK, WHICH IS THE ANCHOR FOR YOU HEAD. BUT SINCE THE ARP DOESNT BOTTOM DOWN IN THE BLOCK, WHEN YOU TIGHTEN DOWN THE HEAD BOLT NUT, YOU ARE ACTUALLY PULLING ONE THE FIRST COUPLE OF THREADS IN THE BLOCK, BECAUSE OF THE INTERFERENCE FELT WHEN INSTALLING THE STUD INTIALLY..(WHICH IS MISTAKEN THAT THE STUD HAS BOTTEMED OUT). WHEN PULLED ON THIS WHAT I CALL INTERFERENCE, IS WHY THE HEAD LIFTS UNDER HIGH BOOST APPLICATIONS. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ANCHORING EFFECT FOR THE HEAD TO HOLD ONTO... ONLY THE FIRST TWO OR THREE TREADS IS ALL THAT IS HOLDING THE HEAD DOWN. UNFORTUANTLY I DIDNT FIND THIS OUT UNTIL I BLEW THE HEAD GASKET ON MY VET TWICE. FIRST I THOUGH IT WAS TUNING, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TUNE, THE SECOND TIME. WHEN MATT CAME DOWN WITH THE GREDDY HEAD BOLTS, AND I TOOK A LOOK, THEN I REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING. THE GREDDY HEAD BOLTS I THINK ARE DESIGNED PERFOECT, THAT IS WHY THEY COST SO MUCH. IF I HAD KNOW THIS BEFORE I WOULD HAVE INITALLY BOUGHT THE GREDDY AND THE VET WOULD PROBABLY STILL BE IN MY CAR. BUT HEY..THATS THE WAY IT GOES." This comment was made by LANCESR20 who had a VET with ARP and...well...it was killed by the bolts....

I'm just thinking here, that guy from SR20 had a VET right? That's a different head, just wondering if he had put SR20DET bolts into his VET head.

I'm not so worry personally now I've clicked that it's a VET he had.

Yes I know...but...the bolts go down to the blcok...were the design failure was located...so...it maybe dangerous...it may be not...just to let you know...anyway if someone's planing a VET the info is there....cheers!!

No worries Emiliano, appreciate the tip ;-)

My ECU is today with the man in the UK who can reprogram them. He is creating a daughterboard for me from a car with similar spec, to enable me to start using the car. This is great news as it means my car will be on the road this weekend to run the engine in before a 500 mile round trip to have it live mapped.

She lives!! She actually lives, wahey!! http://www.npoc.co.uk/forum/smileys/banana.gif

Few last minute niggles sorted out and she was taken on a good run last night and drives really nicely, pulls very strong and all is well for her to come home on Saturday!

Really excited about it now, sounds like she is going to be worth all the effort, will update with some good new pictures at the weekend :-)
