This one is freaking me out, so maybe you can answer it?
This is club / forum is known as "Nippon Power".. So most people would consider it to be a Jap car based club?
So how comes so many of you don't own or drive a Jap car and how comes you all get on so well? If it was in the UK, we have a clear divide between between Jap cars and other cars (Euro). You wouldn't find the 2 different groups of car owners on the same forum together etc.
Many thanks,
Shaun

Haha nice question... the thing is that we prefer japanese cars... and we have had several discussions about this, we say in spanish PINCHE VAGUETO that is something like FUCKING VAG BOY when we disagree in something haha
But we understand that sometimes are better or faster cars than the japanese ones...

yeap the thing here is most of us, have, had or plan on having a japanese car!!! so we mostly dig those... nevertheless some own different brands... but they tend to end up with a nippon!!!

I think that the passion for the cars in this forum is gretear than the preference for a specific brand, so i would say that is te reason we get so well.

that's because we are sucha a great community hahahaha :D:D
we respect the choices of our mates and we easily get a long toguether!
btw chevrolet rules jajaja!!
good question, this forum first started as a Japanese car club only, but with some time other brand owners registered or even some founder members bought other brand cars, like our president, that have owned other brand cars, he even drive a Jetta GLI right now, (he recently acquired a honda too)
whatever the kind or rand of car members drive, they are welcome, we are a warm forum, and accept almost all kind of people, but they have to understand they are in Jap territory (or at least I hope that)
And as Type R said, making jokes of other kinds of cars, specially VAGS and even more of VW, is common over here
Jap FTW then :)

Hell yeah, we hate riced up Corsas too, we have here in Mexico a Corsa version called Chevy, that is a common victim of ricer boys

Amen to that matey!
Over here, there are certain meets that are clearly defined.. For instance there's one nera me that's called "No Rice". It's help by the Dubbers and if you show up in a Jap car, you better have mahoooooosive bollocks!
There's also plenty of Jap ONLY meets and again, roll in to the meet in a non Jap car and you're in trouble LOL.
I see no problems why people in an online forum can't chill out and respect each other's cars.. Regardless of who makes it:smile:
Most of the Users start whit an Japanesee but we are rellly high so the N/A motors doesn't give the 100% so people want more power and took a Turbo mos comon some VAG hope to explain relly good XD
Salutes!
hu hu! Most of us prefer jap cars; but we try to keep an open mind.

There are not many real carfans here, we got a lotta ricers, but performance focused just a small crowd, many of us learned how to drive in a Beetle, (the old ones sold here till 2000's) & the "tradition" of VW cars continues till now.
Fortunately many of us saw the light & changed to Jap cars, but some followed the dark side & return to their VW origin, but got friends & entretainment here & keep posting.
This is kindda car lounge.

Exactly, mutual respect.
Go to a track in my country, the United States, often times there is a vocal war versus primarily American and Japanese and to a lesser extent a 3-way battle with Europeans.
In Mexico, all of this is kept on the track or at a car show. I do see it occasionally on the streets here, but usually it is that much, much rarer than in the United States.
Thing I like about this club is that they are creating an essence of quality of the Japanese vehicle, something that has been known and existing for about 20 to 25 years in my country, but within the last 10 years or so and just recently in force, the concept that Japanese on average produce a better quality vehicle.
This is important as more and more of our brothers and sisters will no doubt join us with the ever increasing influx of Japanese vehicles to Mexico.

The club started with Japanese cars, but both grown and diversified in such a way that I dare to say that today most of the cars are NOT Japanese. But everyone is welcome and no one is less, only vaguetos, jajajajajajajajaja.

It is good to see your answers. Well, that's all about respect in here, love cars not only brands...
I love Jap cars, there are 3 of them in the family, but my brother just got a Jeep and I have no problems driving it when I go outdoors hahahaha. We are-- even-- about getting a 65'Mustang in order to get it restored...
However... HONDA RULES!!!! hahahahaha

Yes...the fact is that this forum started 4 years ago thinking about only for japanesse cars enthusiastics...but because of the cool ambient that we have...a lot of people join us...NO MATTER IF THEY are enthisiastics ...that is one of the main reasons...
Another reason is that here in Mexico the philosophy of the JAPANESE CARS COMPANIES, is 99% FAMILY cars ORIENTED...AT LEAST IN THE LAST YEARS...

Well all my nippon bros had told you the reasons... I only add my personal opinion.
I used to be a VW fan (Jetta GLS 2.0L ,Gti MK2, Gti Vr6) but not anymore now I am Nissan. (Frontier and SpecV QR25DE)
Despite that of our car preferences we are good mates I mean we get well eachother.
